Three Things I Love About iOS 7

I recently updated to iOS 7 and I will admit that it has taken me a while to get used to it, but now I'm in love. Let's chat about my favorite features, shall we?

Essie

I love Essie. Their colors are just so beautiful, and extremely long-lasting. (I have the second color, and it is literally the best gray I have ever tried.) 

These are some of my favorite colors for fall and winter.

He First Loved Us

Love is such a powerful word, that is quickly losing its meaning through overuse. People can "love" everything from an actor to their baby to Swiss cheese. But I'd bet if you asked them if they were willing to spend the rest of their life with that Swiss cheese, you'd get some funny looks.

I'm sure you've all noticed that I have a penchant for shiny, sparkly things. I also love PAPERFASHION, a beautiful blog full of illustrations (most with crystals or glitter). 

These Are a Few of My Favorite Kitchens

I really love kitchens. They become the heart of the home, and it's really one of the most often-used places in your space. I mean, a girl's gotta eat, right? Why would you not create it to be a beautiful, stunning haven? 
And then you won't feeeeel so bad!

Oh, Coats & Jackets

Yes, it's almost that time of year again. Layers, scarves, coats, jackets, and boots. Ring a bell? It's soon going to be fall. What is more fall-y than a coat? Honestly, I am really looking forward to being all bundled up. That warm and cozy feeling usually lasts until about January or February, when I find myself longing for the sundresses and sandals of July.

Natural Makeup

I don't know about you, but I personally love looking fresh-faced. There's just something about that dewy, natural glow that I have always loved to try and achieve. All you really need is a good concealer, bronzer, illuminator, and mascara. (Maybe lip color or stain if you want.)
Don't get me wrong, I love me some bold makeup trends too. (Like this one!) But there's just something about simple, effortless looks that speak to the purist deep down inside colorful glittery me.

Do you know that there is someone who loves you so much that they would die for you? We all know those stories about a guy who gives up everything for the girl he loves. There is a very real person Who would (and did) give up EVERYTHING just for you.

It's easy to hunt for bargains online, but what about in a store? While there are obviously places to shop where you can get things at a cheap price, there are also places where you can get nice things at a cheap price.

Budget Fashion: Secondhand Style

When you were a kid, you probably got lots of hand-me downs. Your cousin, your siblings, older kids you knew, everyone was giving you their old clothes that they grew out of. Sometimes you got things that didn't work. (I was once gifted a blue velour sweat set. Powder blue. Oh yeah baby.) But other times you got really cool pieces that you wore for years.

Budget Fashion: Thrift Stores

When some people hear the word "thrift store", they get scared. They think to themselves, "Oh my gosh, I can't wear clothes other people have worn!" Honestly, for a long time I felt the same way too. It grossed me out that the adorable dress may have been worn by someone else. But you know what? I finally got over it. 

Budget Fashion: Ebay

Ebay is one of the first places I look when hunting for a piece that is either too expensive, exclusive, discontinued, or out of stock. For instance, when I first heard the news about the ever-elusive Miu Miu glitter oxfords (which are unavailable on Nordstrom), I turned to my good ole friend Ebay. 

Budget Fashion

High-end designer pieces are really special. Unfortunately, they're also really expensive. We all covet that beautiful Celine bag, but who is willing to shell out thousands of dollars to bring one home? 
This is where budget fashion comes into play. You want the quality pieces at a low price, and that's a good thing. With a little digging and thrifty shopping, you can get those Jimmy Choos at a price that makes you and your wallet happy.

I love cats. Whether or not I would actually adorn my body in a sweatshirt with a cat on it is no contest. Of course. (Just don't wear like a cat purse or something with it or you run the risk of looking like a crazy cat lady.) I took a little bit of inspiration from the outfit above and restyled it in my own way.

I love bunnies. And I love fashion. Then I discovered Fifi Lapin, a beautiful blog featuring the namesake bunny with a passion for fashion. The planets all aligned, people. All was right in my world.

September Wishlist

For some reason September seems purple to me. Just another one of my weird color associations, I guess. I love those little sneakers, they are perfect for going to the gym in. (Whenever I take a class at the gym I am reminded of just how very uncoordinated I am.)

Three Glittery Manis

I love using glitter in my manicures, even if I do regret it when it comes time to take it off. It's a bitter cycle, folks. I put it on, knowing full well that in a week or so I will be grumbling at myself for doing so. But it just looks so cute!
