A Sink Full of Details

i'm so inspired by luxe details in the bathroom. since it's a relatively small space, you can get away with showstopping elements like that amazing sink. it makes it a bit more high-end, don't you agree?

Pretty in Prints

it's really no secret that i love katie rodger's work. her art always has such a sense of movement and grace, and she uses color like a pro. really, she is a pro, she's been painting since she was a little girl and has worked on collaborations with multiple high-end designers, including coach and swarvoski. 

i am just in love with those adorable shorts. as we're getting into the springtime, i'm keeping my eye out for shorts that, while they remain feminine and girly, are still edgy enough to not go little bo peep. (please excuse the random mother goose reference.) plus, they're at the perfect length - not too long, and not too short. they would be great with sandals or heels, and also could easily be dressed up with some funky jewelry and a blazer.

Feeling Pink

i'm still gushing over peachy tones. and it's still cold and snowy. draw your own conclusions, ha!

i love this more mature side of pink. it still brings in a little girly hint, but it doesn't go overboard. very subtle and feminine.

do you ever give something, and tell everyone about it? let's say that you gave a homeless person 50 dollars, and then you posted it on facebook, tweeted about it, and wrote a blog post about it. while it is natural to be excited about doing something good, there comes a point when you can get into the "bragging zone".

Mirrored Nails

when i was maybe one or two years old, my parents found me kissing myself in the mirror. (i have evidence!) at least now i know where that habit started. i kid, i kid.

mirrored nails, on the other hand, are something i can definitely work with. i love the shiny-smooth texture.

to rock this look on your own, try essie in no place like chrome, or ciate in fit for a queen.

High Impact

i am so inspired by these photos. if you've been reading mode vintage for a while, you probably already know that i have a thing for white or neutral walls. it's not entirely unfounded - a blank slate allows you to go wild with your colors and textures in a way that colored walls don't.

whenever i see a pattern on the internet there is a 50% percent chance that it is designed by ashley goldberg. the shapes and techniques she uses are super graphic and simple, but the colors really shine. i think my favorite might be the one in the bottom right-hand corner. it reminds me of bubbles, am i right?

Valentine's Day Gift Guide

it's almost valentine's day already! february seems like it has just begun and yet we are already halfway through it. i'm keeping my eyes peeled for signs of spring.

Artful Style // 01

wow, what a weekend! i'm so pleased with the way everything turned out. my favorite new thing has to be the header. i wanted to go with something sophisticated but still unique and fun. 
you may have also noticed that i seem to have forgotten about the "shift" key on my keyboard - that was intentional, promise. (it's a style thing)
i also am going to be introducing a few new columns, including this one. i'll take art pieces and find clothing items that work with it.
there are still a few things i'll need to tweak but other than that we are good to go! thank you for being so patient while i was working.

How He Loves Us

He is jealous for me. That one phrase just fills me to the brim. The Creator of the entire universe wants US to be with Him. He wants to be near to us! 

This is one of my favorite songs. It's by John Mark McMillan, an amazing musician. The love for God and the raw excitement is tangible in that video. I always laugh when I hear people say that church is 'boring'. You must be going to the wrong church! Psalm 33:3 says, "Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully [on the strings] with a loud and joyful sound." A loud and joyful sound! I don't think they mean quiet and timid worship. 

I am so blessed every time I watch videos or I go to services like this one. All of those people demonstrated a passionate love for their Lord. He loves us that way, so let's love on Him back.

February Wishlist

Happy February!

It just so happens that all of the things on my monthly wishlist also form a lovely outfit perfect for any upcoming Valentine's Day festivities. I love it when something works out that way.

That. Dress. Is. So. Perfect. I think I seriously am in love with a garment right now. The line, the color scheme, the pattern - it is too beautiful for words.
