What You Might Have Been

July 22, 2013

Don't be afraid to start again.

There's always a missed chance in your life. You'll look back through the years and do a mental "facepalm" because you really wish that you had done something different. Maybe it's moving to a new state, getting a new job, or listening to God's call in your life.

Missing out is no fun because you always wonder what could have happened. You probably think about the possibility of having a better life had you taken that opportunity. But you know what? There is always a second chance with our God. If you miss one door, He'll give you a second. His unfailing love for you will always provide you with good things if you acknowledge and repent for a wrongdoing and get back on track.

Don't miss any more chances. Let God speak to you about the choices in your life and I promise you it will never lead you down a path of destruction. Your welfare is in God's best interest. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome." (Bolded emphasis added) That's pretty clear, my friends. God has a plan for you! Don't let human stubbornness make you miss any of it.

  1. Amen! You are never to old to learn new things and find new adventures. Sometimes the things we thought were detours brought us exactly to where we needed to be to meet the Lord and respond to His message. And He does have a wonderful life planned for us!

    12 mThe righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,

    He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

    13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord

    Shall flourish in the courts of our God.

    14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;

    They shall be 3fresh and 4flourishing,

    15 To declare that the Lord is upright;

    nHe is my rock, and othere is no unrighteousness in Him.

  2. Thank you so much for your sweet and insightful comment Cheryl! Your perspective is so right on target!

    Thanks again,
