Font Hoarding

I love fonts. As a blogger, I find myself in a rut of about three fonts. Usually for an outfit post or something, I will use Blanch Caps. I love it because it's simple and has a whole bunch of different styles. 
For post fonts, I solely use Verdana. After a trial and error period, I just found that I liked Verdana the best. It looks great on both the mobile and browser versions of the blog.

Spring has finally sprung. I have been loving the whole mixed prints trend I have seen lately....from polka dots and stripes to mixed florals. So I did a little mix n' match of my own. The key is to pick one main floral piece and tie in the colors in it elsewhere, whether in another floral or a solid piece. I chose the shoes first, and mixed the outfit around it. See how the yellow in the shirt brings out the yellow in the shoe? Yeah she did. Even though the blazer and the shoe are sporting different blossoms, the necklace wraps it up with a big bow. (I love bows.)

Tard the Grumpy Cat

I have a soft spot for animals. When I was a little girl I wanted to be a vet. But that soon went away, since I was told that you would actually have to do more than cuddle with puppies and kittens. Oh well. 
Anyway, I still do love my animals. So when I saw this adorable video featuring Tard the Grumpy Cat, an Internet celeb-kitty, I knew I was in love. There's just something about a cat loving Starbucks coffee cake makes me smile. 

A Little Illustration

So, a while back I talked about a class that I was taking. Since it is a work at your own pace kind of class, I proved myself to be impatient and finished early. I did two illustrations, and really enjoyed watching the video lectures that went along with the class. Katie Rodgers was amazing, and very helpful. It was so fun! There is still time to sign up, so do not hesitate!
