Be Thankful Garland

January 15, 2013

there's nothing i love better than a colorful garland. half of my time on etsy is spent looking at their fabulous garland selection. so, when i saw this delightful DIY from the poppytalk blog i knew it would be perfect for today's project.

materials:

1.
papercute font (it's only $7! or you could do it the old fashioned way by hand)
2. scissors
3. felt scraps
4. dressmaking pins
5. Bias Binding
6. Sew machine or needle and thread
7. Ruler (optional)

Step 1: Print out your letters (I did two to an A4 sized page).
Step 2: Roughly trim around them and pin them onto your felt and cut each letter out.
Step 3:  Pin your letters onto your bias binding.
Step 4: Sew your letters onto your binding and you're done!

I have a sneaky hint....if you want to go the cheapo route, you could always use the free font Blackout...it's not exactly the same but it still would look great.
